Smartpress
blog

Objective

After the Smartpress rebranding, it was time to look at the marketing content associated with the newly revamped brand. For the first time, Smartpress was featuring client-printed artwork as a visual representation of the product as well as the material we featured on the blog. With the blog redesign, it was incredibly important to give the user a unique experience when it came to how we were displaying these curated pieces and stories. Much like the printed material we showcase, the UI needed to mimic print and display each piece with a heavy emphasis on professional photography and digestible easy to read content.

Article pages needed to showcase our client pieces and read and look like the pieces Smartpress was known to print. Overlapping elements push the boundaries of layer cake web interfaces and merge the two worlds of print and web.

A multi-sized grid landing page allows us to introduce visual hierarchy to new articles and previously posted articles we may feature in future marketing initiatives.
